My Why
I started this work by supporting families with sleep, but I quickly realised that sleep was only one part of the story.
Behind the night wakings, tricky bedtimes and early mornings, there is often a parent who is exhausted, overwhelmed and carrying so much more than anyone can see.
I also know, from my own experience of motherhood, how much parenting can ask of you. Raising a bilingual, multicultural family, adapting to different countries and building a life far from the familiar has given me a real understanding of what it means to find your own way, especially when your usual village is not close by.
Over time, I saw that some families needed focused sleep support, while others needed space to talk through the wider challenges of motherhood, confidence, routines, emotions and feeling overwhelmed.
That is why my work now includes both sleep support and parent support, as separate services with different focuses.
Because your child’s sleep matters, and so do you.
Background
Before creating Calme, I spent many years working in wellness within schools, supporting children, teenagers and their families.
I’m also an Irish mam living in France, raising a bilingual, multicultural family after almost twenty years of adapting to life across different countries. Having lived in six countries, with children born on two different continents, I understand how much family life can involve change, transition and finding your own way when your usual village is not close by.
My professional background gave me a deep understanding of how closely sleep, emotions, behaviour and family life are connected. Since then, I have trained in sleep and wellness coaching, and I am currently continuing my studies in counselling.
All of this shapes the way I support parents today: with calm, compassion and practical, realistic guidance that fits real family life.
How I work
My approach is calm, gentle and fully personalised. There is no one-size-fits-all method here, because every parent, every child and every family is different.
I support parents through the real-life challenges of motherhood, from sleep and routines to emotions, boundaries, confidence and feeling overwhelmed. Together, we look at what is happening in your family and find practical, realistic steps that feel manageable for you.
Having adapted to different cultures, countries and stages of family life myself, I know how important it is for support to feel flexible, realistic and respectful of your values.
No pressure. No rigid rules. Just thoughtful support that helps you feel calmer, more confident and less alone.
Working together
Working together is not about perfect parenting. It is about feeling supported, understood and gently guided through the stage you are in right now.
You can ask questions, take things at your own pace and make changes in a way that feels right for you and your family. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, unsure or simply in need of a calm voice alongside you, my role is to bring clarity, reassurance and a steady, compassionate presence.
So you feel less alone, more confident and clearer about the way forward.
Who I support
I support parents from the newborn stage through early childhood, helping with both sleep and the wider challenges that can come with family life.
Many of the parents I work with are feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or unsure where to start. They may be navigating broken sleep, big emotions, tricky routines, changes in behaviour or simply the mental load of motherhood.
I also know that parenting can feel especially lonely when your usual village is not close by, or when you are trying to find your way through a stage that feels heavier than expected.
You do not need to have it all figured out before asking for support. Sometimes you just need someone in your corner, a calm voice and a little bit of a village around you. If you are ready for things to feel calmer, clearer and more manageable, we can work through it together.
A little more calm, a little less alone
With the right support, this stage can start to feel calmer, clearer and more manageable.
You do not have to work it all out on your own. If sleep feels hard, motherhood feels heavy, or you simply need a little more support, you can explore my services or book a call below.
This is where we can start.
